Healthy Chicken Wrap

Wraps are crazy convenient and taste great and can really be altered to suit ones tastes. Just fill it up with all the flavours you want and off you go – stop! This attitude is what turns the wrap in to an unhealthy meal with people adding mayo and thick sauces which turn what could be a healthy meal, in to a fat packed, grease dripping mistake. It doesn’t need to be this way though, we can still make delicious wraps while keeping it healthy. Check out this healthy chicken wrap.

What you will need:

– 200g of chopped up/shredded chicken breast

– 2 tortillas (I am using weight watchers tortillas – 90 Kcals, 16g Carbs, 3g Protein, 2g Fat per wrap)

– 40g Reduced fat cheese (I am using weight watchers reduced fat cheddar slices – 45 Kcals, 2g Carbs, 4g Protein, 2.5g Fat per 20g Slice)

– Salsa

– Any vegetables and seasonings that you would like

Healthy Chicken Wrap - Ingredients


Step 1: Pre-heat the chicken in the microwave for 2 mins.

Step 2: Split the chicken out evenly on both wraps up the center.

Step 3: Add some salsa on top of the chicken.

Step 4: Now add the slices of cheese on top of the salsa (also add any other chopped up veg or seasoning that you desire).

Step 5: Wrap them up in to nice little bundles.

Step 6: Place in the microwave for 1 minute (or until the cheese melts)

Step 7: Enjoy!
